Saurabh Bajaj is Director of Investments and leads LeapFrog’s Climate Investment Strategy in South East Asia, as well as provides expertise globally on food-related investments.

He brings over 14 years of experience in food systems and agriculture investing & operating roles, having joined LeapFrog from Proterra Partners (fka Black River Asset management, a spin-out from Cargill), a food and agriculture focused private equity firm, where he led deal origination in India and South East Asia. As a part of his fund’s portfolio companies, he held board-linked roles at Country Bird Holdings (Johannesburg), Gemini Edibles (Hyderabad) and Aperion Bioenergy (Singapore). He played an operational role as the CEO of Eat Just Asia (the Asian business of the Californian foodtech unicorn, Eat Just Inc).

Previously, Saurabh has worked in investing roles at Louis Dreyfus, Olam, and Essar Investments worked out of the offices in the Dubai, Singapore, India, and the UK.
