Emma Casemore
Legal Counsel
Emma joined LeapFrog’s London team in 2020 as Legal Counsel. Emma works across all aspects of LeapFrog’s global legal functions and she has a focus on LeapFrog’s funds and LeapFrog’s Africa transactions. Since joining LeapFrog, Emma has been involved in LeapFrog’s Africa focused investments and exits, the establishment of new funds, fundraises, strategic partnerships and internal governance arrangements.
Emma has over ten years of extensive corporate, and private equity and funds legal experience. Prior to joining LeapFrog, Emma completed her legal training contract and qualified into the corporate private equity team at Taylor Wessing, an international law firm where she gained experience advising private equity houses, their portfolio companies and management teams on complex domestic and cross-border acquisitions, disposals and investments. Emma also gained experience advising on mergers and acquisitions for private companies, often across multiple jurisdictions and regularly advised clients on general corporate matters.
Emma grew up in Oman before moving to England to complete a BSc in Geography at the University of Leeds followed by the post-graduate Graduate Diploma in Law and the post-graduate Legal Practice Course at BPP University Law School, London.
