Our Team

Johan joined LeapFrog in 2014 and has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Johan is Head of the firm’s External Finance function, which is primarily focussed on investor related reporting and operational matters.

Before joining LeapFrog, he was based in Bermuda, building extensive international exposure to the investment industry. While in Bermuda, he spent two years as senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (now PwC), auditing private equity groups, hedge funds, investment companies of insurance groups, and retail operations. Subsequently, Johan had five years of experience as financial controller at a high-net-worth family office, where he developed extensive knowledge of various investment classes, including private equity.

Johan is a Chartered Accountant. He completed his articles with BDO Spencer Steward in South Africa and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has also completed Level II of the CFA Program, having passed Level I and Level II on his first attempt, finishing in the 90th percentile in both exams.
