Souleymane Ba is a partner at LeapFrog Investments and co-head of the firm’s climate investment strategy.

With over 20 years’ experience across venture, growth, and late-stage investment, Souleymane joins LeapFrog from leading climate investment fund manager, Just Climate, where he served as Partner and member of the Executive Committee. Prior to his role at Just Climate, Souleymane spent a decade at Helios Investment Partners where he was a Partner, focusing on responsible investment across Africa.

Previously, Souleymane worked in private equity and corporate finance in the US, including at New York-based private equity firm Warburg Pincus, where he focused on leveraged buyouts, growth equity and venture investments in the industrial and consumer sectors. He has also held roles at The Carlyle Group and Morgan Stanley.

Souleymane has held several Non-Executive Director roles, including at Bayport Financial Services, Africa Speciality Risks and Solevo, where he also acted as Chair of the Remuneration Committee between 2018-2020. He has a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr Ba is a Senegalese and British national and speaks French and Wolof.
