Tapiwa Muranda

Tapiwa is a member of LeapFrog’s Africa Financial Services investment team. He helps drive deals across the continent and expands LeapFrog’s Africa footprint. As an investment officer, Tapiwa is responsible for the sourcing and execution of LeapFrog’s impactful investments – as well as value creation in them. Former and current LeapFrog partner companies include AllLife (Insurance, South Africa), ARM Life (Insurance, Nigeria), ARM Pensions (Savings, Nigeria), Alexforbes (Savings, South Africa) and Sun King (PAYG Solar, Africa).

Prior to joining LeapFrog, Tapiwa was a power and infrastructure finance consultant at Investec, where he structured infrastructure transactions across the energy, transportation and healthcare sectors worth more than $200 million. Tapiwa has earned a postgraduate diploma in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in business science, with honours, from the University of Cape Town. He is a registered Chartered Accountant.
