Tapiwa has  over a decades’ experience investing in emerging markets across a range of investment stages and sectors including insurance, asset management, payments and energy and infrastructure. At LeapFrog, he leads new investments, portfolio management and exits across Africa. Recent transactions include ARM Pensions, Interswitch, Alexforbes and Sun King.

Prior to joining LeapFrog, Tapiwa was a power and infrastructure finance investor at Investec, where he structured infrastructure transactions across the energy, transportation and healthcare sectors. Tapiwa earned a postgraduate diploma in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in business science, with honours, from the University of Cape Town. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
