Healthify and Berry Street merge to create advanced AI metabolic health platform
August 25, 2026
- The combined company pairs the only research-validated nutrition AI with the leading insurance-covered dietitian and GLP-1 platform in the U.S.
Bengalaru, India: Healthify, India’s leading AI powered health and wellness platform and Berry Street, the leading nutrition care company, today announced they have merged, creating the most advanced insurance-covered AI metabolic health platform in the U.S.
The combined company will be led by Noah Kotlove and Tushar Vashisht as Co-CEOs. In the U.S., the company will continue to operate under the Berry Street brand. Outside the U.S., including in India and other markets where Healthify has established a strong consumer presence, the Healthify brand will remain.
One in three Americans now turns to AI for health guidance, double the share from just a year ago, and the number seeking diet and weight loss support is growing rapidly alongside the GLP-1 boom. But most of that guidance comes from general-purpose AI tools that lack clinical credibility and evidence-based outcomes.
By combining, the two companies will be better able to deliver expert metabolic care that’s AI-powered, clinician-backed, and covered by insurance in the U.S.
Healthify’s platform, recognised by OpenAI for its innovative approach, has been honed on hundreds of millions of real dietitian-to-patient interactions, enabling it to synthesise signals across nutrition, sleep, stress, and weight in real time. As a market leader in India, Healthify has served more than 45 million users across more than 20 cultures, and its GLP-1 weight management initiative, which includes a patient support program with Novo Nordisk, is Healthify’s fastest-growing offering.
Berry Street delivers personalised, evidence-based metabolic care — including prescribing GLP-1s when appropriate — through its nationwide network of 2,000-plus clinicians. In most cases, this care is covered by insurance, so people pay little or nothing out of pocket. Berry Street is among the first cohort of CMS’s groundbreaking ACCESS model and has served more than 200,000 patients across all 50 states through collaborations with Amazon, Walmart, and other leading health plans and consumer platforms.
“Healthify’s mission has been to put a dietitian in every human’s pocket. We have spent a decade proving that AI can drive life-changing outcomes at scale,” said Tushar Vashisht, Founder and CEO of Healthify. “Berry Street gives us the clinical backbone and the coverage infrastructure to deliver that promise to the U.S. market at a scale no one has achieved before. This is the combination the industry has been waiting for.”
“One in eight Americans is now on a GLP-1, and it’s just the beginning. The science is clear: these medications are most effective when paired with high-touch clinical oversight and expert nutrition guidance. But for most Americans, that experience has been out of reach,” said Noah Kotlove, Founder and CEO of Berry Street. “Berry Street and Healthify are building a future where everyone has access to care in their pocket 24/7, supported by AI to handle the in-between moments so providers can practice at the top of their license.”
Healthify’s AI platform, Ria, is among the most rigorously validated consumer nutrition AI products. A peer-reviewed study published with Stanford Medical School, the first paper to examine AI-only metabolic health outcomes, demonstrated measurable improvements in weight and metabolic markers among Ria users. Ria’s capabilities are multimodal and multilingual, with patented food-logging technology that can track nutrition from a photograph in under one second, without the user ever opening the app.
Berry Street patients meet synchronously with a care team of registered dietitians, doctors, and nurse practitioners for GLP-1 management and ongoing nutrition therapy. Between visits, patients use the Berry Street app for AI-powered guidance, meal tracking, and integration of health data from wearables and lab results. Berry Street supports more than 30 conditions, ranging from weight loss and diabetes to women’s health and heart health.
“By pairing AI with a nationwide network of expert clinicians, Healthify and Berry Street are building the platform that will redefine metabolic care, giving everyone access to daily nutrition guidance and expert dietitian advice,” said Vinod Khosla, founder of Khosla Ventures.
“Healthify was built to serve the underserved consumer, first in India, then across the world. Together with Berry Street’s leading clinician network, this merger is proof that technology and clinical expertise can tackle the world’s most complex healthcare challenges,” said Biju Mohandas, Partner and Global Healthcare Lead, LeapFrog Investments.
